WEEK 4 : Weekly Reflection

4th week of my school internship phase 1 at Mount Tabor Girls High School, Pathanapuram  Day 12 03/08/2026 (Monday) I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the attendance register. I discussed the lesson plan prepared for the day with the mentor teacher. During the teaching sessions in class 8.H, I taught concepts related to the inner angles and outer angles of a polygon to the students. I used suitable examples  to make the concepts clear and engaging. The session gave me an opportunity to improve my teaching and classroom management skills. I left the school at 3.50 pm. Day 13 04/08/2026 (Tuesday) I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the attendance register. During the third period, I taught the concept of the sum of outer angles of a polygon to Class VIII H in an interesting way.  As part of Hiroshima Day, the school conducted a quiz competition and a drawing competition for UP students on 7 August 2026 in the school auditorium.

Conscientization programme

 Conscientization programme  Topic : Awareness on Cyber Safety I conducted a conscientization programme in Class IX D on the topic “ Awareness on Cyber Safety .” First, I conducted a session on cyber safety, explaining the safe and responsible use of the internet, important safety measures, and the precautions students should take while using online platforms. Then, I conducted a cyber safety quiz to reinforce their understanding of the topic. After that  I asked two students to display the placard with the message, ‘ Think before you click. Stay smart , stay safe.’  The students actively participated in the quiz and enjoyed the programme.

Value Education Programme

  Value education                    Topic : KINDNESS   I took a value education class on the topic “Kindness.” First, I asked the students to write down a kind act they had done on a piece of paper. The students also shared and explained the kind acts they had done. Then, I explained the importance of kindness and how small acts of kindness can make a positive difference in the lives of others. Finally, I joined all the pieces of paper together to form a kindness chain, symbolising how individual acts of kindness can come together to create a positive and caring community. The students actively participated in and enjoyed the activity.

WEEK 3 : Weekly Reflection

3rd week of my school internship phase 1 at Mount Tabor Girls High School, Pathanapuram   Day 7 27/07/2026 (Monday) I reached the school at 8:45 a.m. and signed the attendance register. After that, I went to the staff room, met my mentor teacher, and discussed the lesson plan prepared for the day. During the sixth period, I taught problems related to the general equation of the product of two numbers to the students of Class VIII H. The day gave me another opportunity to improve my teaching and classroom management skills. I left the school at 3:50 p.m., feeling more confident and motivated for the upcoming teaching days. Day 8 28/07/2026 I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register. During the interval, I met my mentor teacher to discuss and review my lesson plan.  2nd week of my school internship phase 1 at Mount Tabor Girls High School, Pathanapuram  Day 3 21/07/2026 ( Tuesday) I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the attendance register along with the other teacher trainees. After that, I met my mentor teacher and discussed the lesson plan prepared for the day. During the fourth period, I taught some equations relating to the general identity of squares of differences to the students of Class VIII H. Later, I carried out invigilation duty in Class VIII H during the second period. The day gave me another opportunity to improve my teaching and classroom management skills.
