The Alokha College Union and IQAC of Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram, organized Freshers’ Day 2026 on 19 August 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the General Hall. The programme welcomed the new students and provided an opportunity for them to interact with their seniors and become part of the college community. The event created a lively and friendly atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, fun, and togetherness.  

 A Women’s Equality Day programme was organized by the Women Cell and IQAC of Mount Tabor Training College on 17 August 2026. The programme focused on the theme “Educate, Empower and Equalise” and aimed to encourage women’s active participation in leadership and decision-making. The event included a magazine release and a leadership-honouring ceremony, highlighting the importance of empowering women and promoting gender equality.

 As part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations, our college organized a special programme on 14 August 2026 under the theme “Yuva Shakti – Youth Power.” A distinguished guest was invited for the celebration, and various cultural programmes were presented by the junior students. During the programme, one of our students who was elected as a Panchayat member in the legislative assembly election was honoured by the college. A PhD scholar from among the students was also honoured for their academic achievement. The programme was a memorable celebration of patriotism, achievement, and youth empowerment.

  Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram, in association with IQAC and the UNAI Student Council, organized Youth Day on 11 August 2026 . The theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” highlighted the importance of diversity, collaboration, and innovation. The programme featured a Reel Competition and aimed to inspire young people to work together towards a better and more inclusive future.

         At Mount Tabor Girls High School, an Onam feast (Onasadya) was arranged for the students, student teachers, and teachers on 11 August at 12:30 p.m. We, the student teachers, actively participated in serving the dishes to the students and teachers. The feast brought everyone together and created a joyful spirit of unity, sharing, and togetherness.

4th week of my school internship phase 1 at Mount Tabor Girls High School, Pathanapuram  Day 12 03/08/2026 (Monday) I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the attendance register. I discussed the lesson plan prepared for the day with the mentor teacher. During the teaching sessions in class 8.H, I taught concepts related to the inner angles and outer angles of a polygon to the students. I used suitable examples  to make the concepts clear and engaging. The session gave me an opportunity to improve my teaching and classroom management skills. I left the school at 3.50 pm. Day 13 04/08/2026 (Tuesday) I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the attendance register. During the third period, I taught the concept of the sum of outer angles of a polygon to Class VIII H in an interesting way.   As part of the paper EDU 11 – Developmental Perspectives in Education , I conducted a study on waste management practices in the school. The school maintains a clean and organized campus through proper waste segregation and regular disposal. Composting and gardening activities are encouraged, along with efforts to minimize plastic use. Students and teachers actively participate in maintaining cleanliness and creating environmental awareness. However, the school can further improve its waste management system by strengthening recycling and reuse mechanisms, especially for plastic and other recyclable materials. Overall, the study helped me understand the importance of reducing, reusing, recycling, and developing responsible environmental practices for a sustainable school environment.

 As part of Hiroshima Day, the school conducted a quiz competition and a drawing competition for UP students on 7 August 2026 in the school auditorium.

 Conscientization programme  Topic : Awareness on Cyber Safety I conducted a conscientization programme in Class IX D on the topic “ Awareness on Cyber Safety .” First, I conducted a session on cyber safety, explaining the safe and responsible use of the internet, important safety measures, and the precautions students should take while using online platforms. Then, I conducted a cyber safety quiz to reinforce their understanding of the topic. After that  I asked two students to display the placard with the message, ‘ Think before you click. Stay smart , stay safe.’  The students actively participated in the quiz and enjoyed the programme.

  Value education                    Topic : KINDNESS   I took a value education class on the topic “Kindness.” First, I asked the students to write down a kind act they had done on a piece of paper. The students also shared and explained the kind acts they had done. Then, I explained the importance of kindness and how small acts of kindness can make a positive difference in the lives of others. Finally, I joined all the pieces of paper together to form a kindness chain, symbolising how individual acts of kindness can come together to create a positive and caring community. The students actively participated in and enjoyed the activity.

3rd week of my school internship phase 1 at Mount Tabor Girls High School, Pathanapuram   Day 7 27/07/2026 (Monday) I reached the school at 8:45 a.m. and signed the attendance register. After that, I went to the staff room, met my mentor teacher, and discussed the lesson plan prepared for the day. During the sixth period, I taught problems related to the general equation of the product of two numbers to the students of Class VIII H. The day gave me another opportunity to improve my teaching and classroom management skills. I left the school at 3:50 p.m., feeling more confident and motivated for the upcoming teaching days. Day 8 28/07/2026 I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register. During the interval, I met my mentor teacher to discuss and review my lesson plan.
