WEEK 3 : Weekly Reflection
3rd week of my school internship phase 1 at Mount Tabor Girls High School, Pathanapuram
Day 7
27/07/2026 (Monday)
I reached the school at 8:45 a.m. and signed the attendance register. After that, I went to the staff room, met my mentor teacher, and discussed the lesson plan prepared for the day. During the sixth period, I taught problems related to the general equation of the product of two numbers to the students of Class VIII H. The day gave me another opportunity to improve my teaching and classroom management skills. I left the school at 3:50 p.m., feeling more confident and motivated for the upcoming teaching days.
Day 8

I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register. During the interval, I met my mentor teacher to discuss and review my lesson plan. I had teaching sessions during the third and fourth periods, where I taught the students of Class VIII H how to solve problems based on the general identity of the square of a difference. The students actively participated in the problem-solving activities, and the class discussion progressed smoothly. The day helped me strengthen my teaching skills and encouraged greater student interaction. I left the school at 3:55 p.m., feeling more confident and motivated for the upcoming teaching days.

I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register along with the other teacher trainees. During the interval, I met my mentor teacher and discussed the lesson plan for the day. I had teaching sessions in Class VIII H during the second and sixth periods, where I introduced a new algebraic identity and taught the related textbook problems. The students participated actively in the lesson, and the classroom discussion helped them understand the concept more effectively. I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register along with the other teacher trainees. I had teaching sessions in Class VIII H during the second and sixth periods, where I taught a calendar problem by distributing a mini calendar to each bench as an activity. The students actively participated in the activity, identified the required pattern, and discussed their findings with their classmates. The activity-based approach made the lesson more engaging and helped students understand the concept effectively. The day provided me with another opportunity to strengthen my teaching and classroom management skills. I left the school at 3:50 p.m., feeling more confident and motivated for the upcoming teaching days.

I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register along with the other teacher trainees. I had teaching sessions in Class VIII H during the second, sixth, and seventh periods. I introduced a new unit, Polygons, using the Concept Attainment Model to help students identify the characteristics of polygons through examples and non-examples. Later, I guided the students in deriving the formula for the sum of the interior angles of a polygon. My mentor teacher observed the lesson and provided valuable feedback. The day gave me another opportunity to improve my teaching skills and classroom management. I left the school at 3:50 p.m., feeling more confident and motivated for my future teaching sessions.
